Im gonna make some Led Tail lights (pics)

i didn't mean any offense by it, but it'll be tough. some people just think leds screw in just like any other lightbulb. not saying you think that, but some do. just make sure to plan everything out very well before you do anything. it would be great to see these after they are done.

its gonna suck to replace LED's once they start burning out.
Btw whats the life expectancy of a LED?
Im only askin because it might be better to only put LED's in the brake lights not the postion lights(ones that are on all the time whatever theyre called), again that might just look uneven, i dunno.

i want to do these too. everything seems fairly simple to me except the wiring/resistors and what not. the connection to the car basically.
i think i'll be the first person to do it with 95/96 tails!

Great idea!!!!!
Haha, I used to sell them. I am making what is most likely my last set right now. I do not like making them and I dont see how anyone could.

IIRC kevlo, you just had 2 extra rows of LEDs that came on for the brakes right? the LEDs didn't get brighter...

i made this light on the top of your roof inside. LED....
ok i used 3 mm leds with resistors, i did drilling and alot more....
i though it was easy, cause i saw tutorial....
man trust me its hard, its so annoying solder them together each bulb with resistor, + to -
omg , i dont know how you going to do it, well if you need help with anything PM me... i will sure help you out..
i'll read some more info online about leds, and make led tail too. but later, im not ready yet, alltho i have all the supplies.
LED YOU GET THEM AT RADIOSHACK..

it would look nice, but one thing is on my mind about how bright they are going to be according to blkmax98se pictures. it seems to me that the brake lights are the same brightness as to the light that goes on when you turn on the head lights, making it confusing, if you are braking or not. Don't you have to have a lower current to go the light that goes on when the head lights goes on vs the light that goes on when you brake? Just a thought of mind.

(im asumming you have all your soldering tools)
100 LED's - ~$20 shipped on ebay
4 resistors - ~$5
4 PCB's - ~$10
wiring - ~$5
hours upon hours of tedious, frustrating work(if all goes right) - priceless
