Hard starting problem!!

Sorry if this is a repost. When I try to start my car, the starter barely turns over the engine to get it to start. So when I turn the key, the starter cranks but it sounds like it is having a hard time, then it finally starts. My dad says it might be my battery or if not my belt is loose for the alternator, and is not charging the battery as well as it should be while it is running. What do you guys think it is?
Battery?
loose belt for the alternator?
alternator going bad?
or my starter is starting to weaken?

Thanks for your time.

TA

Do you have any CEL's?

From what you posted it sounds to be your starter is on its way out.

Get the battery and starter checked out at AutoZone for free to rule those 2 out.

Sounds like the starter is going out. Try putting a mulitmeter on the battery to see if it charging at 14 - 15 V

I just checked the battery and the alternator and see if it was charging at 14-15V and it was, but i heard clicking noises from teh alternator area, very soft and you have to put your ear to it or near it to hear it. How hard is it to take out the alternator? Also it isn't all the time, it is only once in awhile thing.
