Weird Popping Sound

Lately I've noticed I've been getting this weird pop sound, and it sounds like its coming from my passenger front door. It has happened when I'm driving or when I'm stopped. It's not consistent and it's usually just one little pop. I can't figure out what it is.

I know it's not my CV Joints and it's not coming from my engine or trunk.

Any ideas? Just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

Could it be the plastic setting/flexing?

How loud is the "pop"? Does it sound metallic or muffled?

I've had a random popping noise occasionally for over a year now also; the only difference is that it does seem to be coming from the front end somewhere. It hasn't gotten any worse over time, it's just annoying. Like you my CV joints and everything appear to be fine. I'd love to figure out what exactly is causing it.

brakes?

Do you notice it happening after you brake hard? Does is sound like two forks hitting? If so, my brakes make that sound when they are heated up...i guess its their way of decipating heat....but then again i have a big brake kit.

The pop is loud enough to hear over my stereo (unless I have it blaring) and it sounds like its inside my car not outside. it's not a blown speaker; shocks are not blown, and it does not happen after hard braking, as it sometimes happens while I am driving (and also after I have stopped).

I appreciate the feedback. It's just driving me crazy. I'll check my door sills and make sure they are down tight.....maybe it's something with my door, but I don't know what would be causing the pop.

The best way I can describe the pop is like a milk carton or plastic bottle that was punched in and it pops out back to shape. But it's just a single pop, never a series of them at once.

Passenger seat adjustment loose? Is the seat adjuster slipping and "popping" in and out of a locked state? Mine got stuck like that once and I had to putz with the locking mechanisim to get it working again.

you could have a short in the wiring for that speaker. if the power to that speaker goes of and on it will pop while the other speakers will work fine.

I don't think it's the speaker. I know what popping speakers sound like and that's not it.

Thanks for the thought though.

Being that you know it's not your stereo I'll assumed you even heard the sound with the stereo off so what about your heating or a/c system did you try playing around with that?
