Clutch Ques...

Is there any way to make your clutch stiffer w/o swapping it our for a racing clutch?

No. Clutch pressure and I assume you mean holding pressure is mainly determined by the springs in the clutch. The material does play a role in this as well but not to the same degree. About the only thing you can do with out swapping out the clutch is to put on one of the stainless steel braided clutch lines. 25 bux. check in the general maxima f/s section. All this line does is increase the "feel" of engagement of the clutch.
Why do you want to upgrade the clutch? From what I've read, the stock clutch is good for about 250 hp with BASIC boltons. I could be wrong on that hp number. Got plans for turbo or s/c? Just be careful with what clutch you decided to go with as some of the racing clutch setups have really harsh engagement when driven on the street.

Sure, remove the hydraulic system and convert it to a cable operated system.

The stock clutch is fine for N/A bolt ons. I'm at about 250whp now and the stock clutch could not hold the power at all so I upgraded to a clutchnet.

I suppose sarcasm can't be sensed over the internet. A custom cable conversion will probably cost you just as much if not more than a clutch replacement. Some old school cars come with it stock, such as, I believe the B13 sentra.

If you are thinking about SCing or any type of FI, you WILL need to upgrade your clutch. The stock one will NOT hold. Besides, when you get an upgraded clutch, the pressure plate will be stiffer and as a result the pedal should be stiffer.

5th gen clutch, ss line, and remove the extra bleeder line off the 3 way junction box (plug it with a large bolt)... goodbye clutch mush.

That clutch probably won't last very long in a boosted car. If you wanted to stay with Exedy, I'd recommend the stage 2 (~80% increase in holding strength). The stage 1 is more for N/A performance and bolt ons.

I'm gonna see how my 5th gen holds up to the boost!
