of course yours has V-TEC its the best evear.......but in all seriousness mad 3.5 torque > v-tec IMO...and anyway if ur VCT is working with your swap its esenntialy a v-tec system....ok well not exactly but its a variable timing system

VTEC = Variable Timing ang Lift Electronically Controlled.....for those who dont know......stupid dual cam lobes

I dont think its hooked up. I believe you need a ecu swap to do that. Even with the 3.5 my friends H22 + lots of other mods eeks me out just barely.

I figure with headers and a good tune job I will spank him.

I did a JDM ECU swap to engage the VTEC on my old car. I could only manage 13.9 without the VTEC but after the ECU swap the VTEC got me down to 13.4.

OMG GXE!
99% likely you DO have a speed limiter.

Why does it suck? Why do you need to go over 115mph in a Maxima...

I thought the only differences between GXE & SE is one is 4-speed automatic transmission & the other one is 5-speed manual transmission?

My 95 SE is a 5-speed with LSD and I've had it over 140 mph once, going on 9 years ago in the middle of nowhere.

My non v-tec powered GXE is definitely slower than VTEC equipped SE's. Also SE's from 1996 and 1999 had VANOS as well.
