I stand corrected. I was reading on troubleshooting the crankshaft positioning sensor and found that you are suppose to ensure the ground strap (to the engine block) is good, tight, and clean. The next step involved testing voltages at the POS sensor sub-harness.
I guess a poor ground would affect these voltages and therefore the POS count which could affect starting.

If I am lucky I can pump the gas pedal or hold to floor and it will start. Any relation to this issue?

well i just fixed my car this weekend. changed the plugs and it didn't help. ill99max helped me out and suggested i change the fuel filter, and for 16.95, the car starts instantly. if its been a while since you changed this i recommend you try that before the starter.

If you follow the upper radiator hose, the one on the driver's side you will get to it. It is the bigger sensor right after the connection of the hose to the engine. Can't remember if it's the first one or not, just the bigger one. The smaller one is for the temp gauge in the dash.

just as a quick reference... if its a slow cranking then it could be electrical...(starter, ground wires, or even an incorrectly installed remote starter).. if it cranks at anormal speed, kinda starts, but dies.. then it could be the following: plugs, fuel filter, tb, ects, cold start injector(maybe but prolly not) (did i miss any?) maybe egr... try running fuel system cleaner thru to it might help...

hey to the guys that have cleaned out your throttle bodies, i have done the same thing... does your engine still idle higher? i cleaned my tb and the car idles at 1000... i think im gon have to end up playing with the TPS and lower the idle revs

it hasnt been mentioned yet but possibly injector o rings. It was an issue on my 240, and from what i understand, its fairly common with 240s. So if everything else doesnt work, its a fairly inexpensive try. good luck with those stones man.
