0902 & 0608 Ses Help
HELP I was looking at the codes on my sister's 99 maxima and I got two codes
0902 = undefined
and
0608 = cylinder 1 missfire
can a bad coil pack cause a missfire? If not what can cause this missfire in this cylinder. I would understand if some timeing was off somewhere and cause all the other cylinders to missfire too but only one. so i can kind of conclude that it might be the coil pack cause the 99 are known for those coil packs.
also for the 0902 code I looked it up and it came up as O2 sensor rear. So I'm not really worry about that. It shouldn't be too hard to replace right?
Another thing is the SES flashed multiple time when my sister was driving it approx 8 times. That shows that there was an issue while she was driving right.
Thanks org members, any inputs are welcome.

Regarding code 0902. From the '98 Fac. Serv. Manual p.EC-214:
"The ECM performs ON/OFF control of the rear heated oxygen sensor heaters corresponding to the engine speed. Malfunction is detected when: The current amperage in the rear heated oxygen sensor heater circuit is out of the normal range. (An improper voltage drop signal is sent to ECM through the rear heated oxygen sensor heater.)"
For code 0902, on p.EC-217, it lists to check the following about the Rear Heated Oxygen Sensor:
<>15A fuse
<>Harness connectors
<>Harness for open or short between rear heated oxygen sensor and fuse.
Don't know about ease of replacement but looks like you need to be careful not to get burned by the exhaust which it is right next to.
