Retrofits please step in, Who has painted their housing?

I wanted to try something new with my projectores, i was thinking of spraypaining the inside of my housing black or a dull color so that it will have no glare at all (berly has), pretty much so that all you see is two lil ***** of light instead of the housing being lit up. anyone has pictures or has done this i wanna see how it looks?

Mine are and I have no glare. My headlights are AE'd, but the reflector is still chrome. Don't let my sig pic fool you. For example:

It looks good on our cars as long as your shroud
is not a massive chrome ring, otherwise you will get that 'bugged out'
look.

I'm almost done my E55 retro so I will try to post some picks of what it
looks like on a 97 Black GLE.

BTW, if your projectors have a top-shield you can technically keep your housing chrome but avoid the stray glare at the same time. Having the projectors come as close as possible to the front of the headlight housing also helps.

I like the chrome retro... looks classy, almost like it was there from the factory.

Here's a few pic, my housing is a reverse AE Mod.

It does help reduce any type of glare because there are no chrom around the shroud area to reflect any expose lights that are leaking.

Sort of. The closer to the lense, the more there will be exposed on the sides of the projector (depending on which specific projector we're talking about). That would mean you'd need a bigger shroud. So that rule isn't so much universal, but it would work in a lot of cases.

I got no glare or any light escaping, but for people that do, the blacked out housing does help reduce it, I would think.
