I hate my sunroof, don't you?

I like my sunroof. No, I love my sunroof. I don't use it constantly, but frequently. It definitely adds something to the car.
Anyway, I really don't know why everyone's in such a huss. The sunroof will shave ~30lbs off of the part of the car furthest from the lateral roll axis, and that's important. People are now saying stuff like "you drive a Maxima, stfu," and while they do have a point, no one says that about, say, lightweight wheels... the effect is slightly different and more subdued, but it's the same idea. Yes, cars without sunroofs will always perform better and have a slightly better feel to them than their sunroof counterparts, there's no questioning that. It will be a subtle difference and it won't matter much, but they will be undeniably quicker.
You should know by now that roadholding Gs have nothing to do with the handling of the car, and have nothing to do with body roll (which is where the sunroof is important). While I do get what you're trying to say, it's really not that relevant; the sunroof deletion and lightweight roof definitely helped the car.
Also, we should keep in mind that our cars are getting a little old. A sunroof equipped Max at 11 years old is possibly going to be not too impressive structurally as compared to when it is new. Besides that, as they age they spring leaks, rust, get stuck, require a lot of money, etc. If you didn't want one in the first place then I can understand why this would get old quickly and you'd feel like ranting about it.
HOWEVER, I definitely agree that mods such as suspension, wheels/tires, SFCs, RSB, FSTB, LTBs, LCAs, replacing suspension components with new ones, etc will definitely help the handling significantly more than the deletion of a sunroof. Yeah, you got stuck with a sunroof, if you can't deal with it then look for a max without one, but otherwise start modding up and you shouldn't notice it much.

I am sure that the MR DOES handle better but the inaccuracies between the two tests show that the two cars are so close that it could be the wheels and tires that account for the change, or the revised dampening on the MR. The damn sunroof is not the deciding factor.

LOVE my factory roof and won't EVER own another car without it!! Open it all the time when the weather is nice, especially on a nice summer night when the stars are out. Mine is NOT noisy, more noisy when on tilt. Absolutely love it!!!

luv it
yes i love my sunroof. almost everytime i drive in the city i open it. Its the first windows to be open after winter. When i light a cigars it's the better way to get the smoke out. For the xtra weght,i think suspension and tires make a better part in bad handling then a few more pounds to the roff.

Few extra pounds...who cares unless you are a hard core daily racer but you should not be racing on the streets anyways.
In that case, why does the max even come with a SPARE TIRE, real race cars don't need spares on the track etc... I think if you want a real race car, go and get one. THe Max is as everyone says mostly a family car that we all love and that we mod to make daily driving a bit more fun.
I take corners just fine with my sunroof. I use it not to vent but to get some overhead light as light = happiness.

I love sunroofs mostly becuase it lets a lot more light into the car. When it is closed I feel like the car is so much smaller (kind of tall at 6'3) so I have it open in any car I can just to avoid feeling like my head is going to hit the ceiling.
I love my sunroof! I wont buy a car that dosent have one. My tundra has one, my M3 has one , the Max has one. I love to open it up and just cruise, it is pure freedom. If you are worried about extra weight and speed, you need to get another car. I bought my 2004 M3 for that reason. My Max was totally modded but it isnt a car that has real speed. I have had 3 maximas and I love them to death but if you want a race car go buy one. Long live the sunroof.
