3rd Cylinder Misfire Question

Anyone else who had the code for cylinder 3 misfire, what corrected it? I replaced the spark plug, but it is still misfiring. The way it misses is down in the lower RPMs, but I cruised on the highway at 3k with no problem unless I tried to accelerate. Does it sound like an injector or a coil pack? Please let me know if you have experience like this. I appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

You could swap your coil with another cylinder on the same bank, clear the codes from the ECU, drive it around, then see if the code shows up for the other cylinder or for the same cylinder. Ought to help you narrow it down.

99's are prone to coil pack failures.
Replace the coil pack on cylinder #3 and your misfire will go away.

Thanks. I will do that because I'm sure it has to be cheaper than replacing a fuel injector.

Number 5 bank goes out often too... I had #3, then 5... There was a design problem with the original ignition coils. Also if you have more difficulty in the future check the knock sensor
