trunk won't close
the other day i tried closing my trunk, and instead of shutting, the trunk bounced back up. i'm pretty sure it's because the latch isn't catching the hook. i dont think the latch is bent because i can close the trunk if i slam it hard enough, but i don't want to keep doing this because eventually it will bend.
i've had this problem before and luckily i was at a shop and one of the mechanics used my keys to tweak the latch to close. has anyone had this problem what can i do to fix this?
(i can move the latch with my keys to the open and closed position, but it makes no difference)

Don't bend things. Try loosening both the striking point (attatched to the car) and the latch (attatched to the trucklid) to meet each other better. Try moving one or the other at a time, not both.
