Getting new struts/shocks

Im trying to keep my Maxima as stock as possible, not that I have much of a choice with a NA car and cant afford a supercharger.. But.. I just bought some KYB GR-2 stuts and shocks, commonly found on Ebay for about $200.. I have 116k miles, and intend to keep the stock springs. I know that its stupid to put lowering springs on GR2's.. My question is, has anyone replaced their stock struts/shocks with GR2's and kept their stock springs? WHat is your experience with that? Thanks.
Also, will these last for a couple of years? Ill probably sell this car in a year or two. Its just hard to beleive that a set of 4 shocks for 200 is gunna last as long as 100k miles.. Any thoughts oppinions/bashing is welcome.. I know i took the cheap route.. But to keep it stock, its not that bad is it?
