Bose system with tweeters?

Hi all! I got a Maxima GXE without the Bose sound system. I recently bought some excellents components 2 way speakers and tweeters.

The things is that i dunno where to put my tweeters. I was about to drill some holes in the doors near the door handle and i think about it a second.

So my question is does Maxima with Bose sound system have a place where are some tweeters? "A" pillars? Doors? Behind the side mirroirs?

If you can post pics of where the tweeters goes it would be very appreciate!!

Thanks guys!

Since you have a '96, you're better off buying a-pillars that have the tweeter grill already built into them. I don't remember what year they switched, but Bose cars (pre-'97 I THINK) have the tweeter in the a-pillar. I know mine does.

I recently bought a component system myself and I wanted to put the tweets in the A-pillar. But once I took it off i saw that there is really no room for an aftermarket tweeter.

the factory tweeter is like 1/4" deep and needs hardly any room, but aftermarkets are usually much deeper. I thought about cutting into the metal of the pillar, but figured that was a bad idea so i just drilled holes in the door just like the picture above.

I had to remove the whole door panel to do it. btw, running the speaker wire from the door to the interior is a pain in the A.

Mount them in your a pillars, a little resin and bondo and sanding will give you a project you are proud of when finished..were's my digital cam when I need it? I'll TRY and remember to post a pic. Cut the plastic on the pillar push the tweet (wrapped in tape or foil)as far til it touches the metal, build up bondo around it and smooth it out.

Yeah, I wish I could get some earlier door panels and mount my tweeters in my A pillars... anyone have pics of how that looks? And also, has it been done to a '97-99 yet?

Does somebody have a picture of the "A" pillar factory mounting?

My new tweeters have a 2" inch diameter. How much is the diameter of factory tweeters?
