I brought my car to get checked out b/c its been actin up and they said its suppose to hold 68 psi and its only holding 30 psi.they want to charge me $375 to open it up and diagnose the problem. anyone know what it could be??
Are you kidding me? Your mechanic must be on crack. I know that our cars need to have FPRs to RAISE the pressure to 51 when we do 3.5 swaps. There is no way in hell that we are supposed to maintain 68 with the VQ30DE. Wait for the geniuses to chime in.

He's talking about tranny pump pressure problems, not Fuel Pressure.

on your mechanic's diagnoses. I think an automatic tranny's hydraulic system runs on much more then 60 some odd, PSI. Hydraulic systems run upwards of 150 PSI. I would think you need more then 60 PSI to hold clutch discs together in an auto tranny.
