Lower crossmember bolt problem

When I was replacing my motor mounts I noticed that both of the rear lower crossmember bolts were stripped. I replaced them with a new set of bolts and ES subframe bushings, but my problem is that when I put in the new bolt, before I even got to torque it, it stripped out also and just spun. I have ordered a new bolt, but it has to be the hole that's stripping the bolts and was hoping to be able to rethread the hole with my tap set.

Only problem is that I can't find the size of the bolt in the FSM and Sears didn't have anything that fit the bolt either. I am asking for the help of anyone who can point me in the direction of where to find the metric dimensions of the bolt, so I can but a tap to fix this.

The part # is 1129840U06. Thanks

take the bolt with you into home depot or lowes, and match it up.

My bolt is stripped so i really can't match it up that well. I was hoping someone knew the metric bolt system. I used a tap gauge and know that the thread pitch is 1.25, but the bolt measured 10mm wide with the dial caliper. I tried a 10x1.25, but it was way too small. At Sears, they only sell the 1.25mm pitch up to 10. If anyone knows either how to find the dimensions of Nissan parts online, or knows the dimensions of the bolt, please help.

You're measuring it correctly. The OD of the bolt is the size of the thread in millimeters. I use the tips of my mics in the roots of the threads to measure the length of 10 turns.

IIRC it is a fine pitch thread, so M10x1.25 is very possible. I don't have one handy to verify though.

You say the bolt is stripped, but I don't see why you can't get a good measurement - there should be some good thread near the head of the bolt to measure. If the tap seems too small, it could be that the hole in the frame is also stripped. I would find a Helicoil set to fix it.
