Wiring Fog lights

Alright, so when it comes to electric systems in cars im not exactly a genius, and i have a few questions about wiring up aftermarket fog lights on 2 of my cars.

First my I30, already has fogs that i installed, cheapies that wire from the batery to a little box and go from there to the lights, theres a fuse somewhere in there and the box has an antenna with a remote to turn them on. Now however i want to make them so that when i turn the car off they go off, i dont care if i have to re-wire them so that they go to a real switch but i want them to go off when i turn the car off. How do i do this?

Seccond my Qx4, already has a westin bar and 2 PIAA lights, pro-installed, i have little lights that i got again cheap that i want to put on, can i splice them right into the harness for the piaas, or do i need to wire them up themselves, again i want these to turn off when the car turns off (the Piaas do this) but will i blow the piaas box splicing them in, or the fuse, or the wiring? i can wire them seperatly if thats better.

Sorry that this is a little confusing, thanks for any help.

You need to use a relay. THere are only 4 terminals on a standard relay, two are for the circuit you want to turn on/off, and two for the coil (+ and -) that turns the switch on and off. Splice it inline with the existing fog light power, then wire the coil to something to control the relay. For example, you could hook it up to the corner light, so the relay will only switch on when the headlights are on. Or to an ACC wire, so the lights can't run without the keys in the ignition.
