first, yes i looked through the FAQ's
i KNOW ive heard of this.. someone soldered a lead directly into their bose headunit for their ipod. im assuming they used the cd changer button on the headunit.
any links to the how to?

now... soldering to a dot the size of the point of a needle thats laquired over... that, is hard.

It's a bit of a PITA, but it's doable. If you want good ipod connectivity then you should get something like the belkin ipod car charger with aux output, makes it much cleaner if you're willing to hide the wires and such.
