Just want to see if anyone could help me out with my horn. I installed the tripple air horn kit a few months back. worked great for a few weeks, then started blowing fuses left and right. Didn't matter what amp. Replaced compressor, worked great till today, when it started blowing fuses again. Has anyone had this problem?

Those new horns should have been installed with a new auxiliary horn relay and a thick new +12 volt fused lead from the battery. Use the original horn power lead as the signal to the new relay.

more questions

thanks for the info. I threw the relay away due to reading some instructions on some other max site that said i could just wire it parallel to the other horns. What kind would i need to get from a regular auto parts store, and what kind of fuse do you recommend? I can consistantly blow up to 30 amp! Also, i still don't understand why it will work perfectly for several weeks, then all of the sudden start blowing fuses? If i hook the compressor up directly to the battery, it still works. Thanks for your help.

Bad advice. The horn manufacturer provided that relay for a reason. Now you know the reason.

Ask for a horn relay capable of handling 30 amps. It's possible your air horn compressor is drawing too much current. Is there a small oil hole in its case? Give it two drops of a non-gumming light oil such as 3-in-1 electric motor oil. If you can't find that product (it's not the same as ordinary 3-in-1) then use two drops of Automatic Transmission Fluid.

Also, i still don't understand why it will work perfectly for several weeks, then all of the sudden start blowing fuses? If i hook the compressor up directly to the battery, it still works.
A fuse works by having a conductor which melts when it gets too hot, and it gets too hot when it passes too much current. It is possible for a fuse to melt slowly when the circuit it protects is carrying just slightly more than the fuse rating.

When you install your new relay and new power wire, don't neglect to install a fuse holder and 30 amp fuse in that wire. Every circuit in your car must have some sort of overload protection.

Get a relay. I wired it without one and it lasted ->

few seconds. Wired up the relay and no problem so far.
