Greddy Exhaust Problem
#1
I have the Greddy Catback.
The system seems to be pushed back 2 inches or so. I don't have a Y-Pipe and I think the Cat is stock. There are no cuts and rewelds in the exhaust system. The hangers all are being pulled back by the exhaust system (i.e: they're really stretching). Does anyone else have this problem.
I think it may be the Cat Coverter being the wrong size. I know once upon on a time the car had a RT Cat. I don't think it has it anymore. What does the stock vs. RT Cat look like. Also, there might be a chance it isn't even a stock CAT, but some other brand. The exhaust is melting my bumper and the bumper is starting to mold to a different form.

No it doesn't even COME close to the bumper, and the reason the bumper looks messed is because the exhaust has heated it up and it has a slightly different mold on the right corner. I also know it's not right because the hangers don't line up right at all.

Greddy problem....
Your Greddy looks as if it is from a 1995-1996... There is a difference between those models and the 1997-1999. Make certain that you check with whomever you purchases the exhaust from that your specs are correct. If I can ask, where and how much did you buy it for?? Make certain that you tell them if it is federal version, california emissions version, or canadian version....

That's gotta be it. I got it with the car actually. I bought it off of maxima.org's Maxima's For Sales about 3 weeks ago. The car is in MINT condition, has Exhaust, Eibach abd Tokico, and that's it. normally I try not to buy mod'd cars but this one was INCREDIBLY clean, adn with only 40K miles I figured I wouldn't have to worry about too much. Fully loaded 5spd, with not a scrath or ding in it or on the rims.
It appears the exhaust was once installed properly because there is a dent on the tip in a location that it should be in if properly installed. I'm just going to get my RT Cat and Ypipe and then have a muffler shop get it to fit right. I'll just have them add a straight connection somewhere that way it doesn't effect the mandrel bends.
