i just cut out a new one from a piece of 1/4 inch plywood I had lying around. I traced the old one onto it. It works fine.

Yea i just cut out a floor the other day from partical board

Dont make the same mistake as me, I traced the shape of the carpet so the wood would fit snug, but the wood didnt fit threw the trunk jam so i ended up shaving off the sides so now its just mainly the middle portion of the trunk. Fits tight and no raddles

or you could've just cut it straight down the middle, it'll probably fit then and still stay put maybe?

uh, what? are you wondering how to get the plywood home? at most places you can have it cut there. measure how wide you need it to be, get it cut down to that width, and then cut it in half.

I did put it on the roof. sideways. You get better gas mileage that way, because you actually get airborn when going downhill fast enough. LOL.

well, your correct, that was a stupid question. If I actually had to transport it, I would have had it precut there or something. Fortunately though, I had a piece lying around the house already. My roomate used his pick-up truck to get it there at some point.

I cut out two pieces of plywood. I piece is screwed down onto the trunk floor. The other has a hinge that is attached to the other piece so that it can flip up when you need to access the spare tire well. Problem solved.

I don't have a sub in the trunk anymore but I keep my tool box there, so I bought two seat cushions from Wal-Mart and put them under the cardboard. They work like a champ.

Of course it fits, it was designed so you can put your popped tire back in when u change it, thats why it caves in.

haha...dual.....im sorry...

anyway, heres what ive heard people doing, and what im going to do once i stop being a lazy american bastard:

trace the carpet on a piece of wood. then cut it out. then cut the wood in half (more towards one of the sides though so the center isnt supporting all the weight. add hinges so it folds. wala youre done.
