Replace/Upgrade 95 Maxima Suspension

My Max has 150,000 miles on it and I am thinking of replacing the shocks and struts to improve ride comfort. My goal is to maximize comfort. Any suggestions as to what type of shocks and struts to buy? Thanks.

For total comfort. Nothing better than OEM. About as soft as you can get.

All the aftermarket struts tend to be a little stiffer.

Besides that, replacing alot of your worn and cracked bushings will go a long way in improving the subtleties of your suspension.

Replace struts with Tokico Blues, replace the strut insulators, and front strut bearings. Leave the springs alone. Replace the other bushings, perhaps replace the front control arms.

I had the same question about a week ago. Mine has 175,000 miles on it. I want comfort more than anything, but still want to keep it decent in the twistys. I just ordered the Illuminas and kept the stock SE springs after searching the org. Everyone seems to like them. Putting them in Saturday and will let you know how they are.
