Tokico Illumina-Dustboots

I need to know the if KYB Boots will fit Tokico struts, or should I get OEM?
I read that you can put 95 Mustang KYB boots on front, & 95 Miata KYB boots on rear?

For those of you that have installed Tokico struts/shocks, let me know what boots you have!
Thanks,
Geo T

I have the kyb boots on illuminas, they didn't fit, i end up making the hole in the boot in the boot bigger.

I put the kyb boots on mine. The only problem is that the hole in the bumpstop isnt quite big enough to allow it to easily slip down into position. You can either cut it or just use a little force to make it slide down.

I also use kyb boots on my illuminas. They will fit. A little wd40 or pb blaster will do the trick.

Fits fine on mine. I don't have any of the problems that the above posters have.

I have tried both- oem is about twice as thick as kyb
and 10 x better quality.

I think that's a fault. The KYB was not as thick, but more flexible, able to travel when the piston travels. The OEM is stiff and I'm fearful of it catching/binding to the top of the strut housing.
BTW I got my kyb boot from tirerack years ago, but it looks like they don't carry it at the moment. KYB's current catalog also doesn't list it. Has it been discontinued?
