morning start up question?

this is probably just me being paranoid but when i go to start my car in the morning (first time of the day), it cranks a few times before it actually starts up. this is about 10x worse in the winter/colder weather. just wondering if this is normal? could it just be because the car has 123,000miles and is 7 years old (its a 99)? this only happens the FIRST time i start it up every day. the rest of the times there seems to be no problem.

Yea my car does it sometimes to. Especially when the car sits for a while. It takes more then a sec to start it. Like 4-5 secs.

mine is doing same thing; never did it before but now consistently for the last 5 starts (all within past 48hrs) - battery voltage is 12.7 w/ car off.
