Bleeding Clutch issue. Help please

I changed my clutch line to a SS line. Now when I went to bleed the system I checked the master cylinder and it was basically BONE DRY!! This answered two questions.

1. Now I know why not much/hardly any fluid came out when I changed the line.
2. My clutch acted weird from time to time, not often, just every once in a while. Feel like there was no pressure and then there was.

I searched and came across a few threads that suggested by a Vacuum bleeder kit. So I purchased one at Autozone.

I have been using this thing for probably an hour now and nothing. I have tried from both bleeder valves. Fluid comes out, real dirty look fluid I may add, but watching the master cylinder the fluid is not dropping at all.

Is there that much air in the system?? Or is my master cylinder, and possibly my slave cylinder shot???

Much help is greatly appreciated. I do need my car back

could be you have a lot of humidity and funk in it. if your clutch pedal doesnt just stick to the floor and stuff comes out of the bleeder vavles then your master cylinder might still be good. if your slave is bad the little piston tip will not push out when you step on the clutch. keep at it man. it could just be a lot of funk. worse case scenario you might have just damaged the master cylinder from not having fluid in it for so long.

good luck

god bless

Well the pedal just stays to the floor. I guess I'll have to get a new master cylinder.
