Powering-up power windows

Is there a way to power up the motor on a power window directly. The maxima does not have a battery source/power, nor do I have the key anyway. I need to get access so I can remove the window, but it is in an awkward postion and removing the screw/bolt can't be reached.

Well, if you take off the door trim, and locate the motors, you could just give it 12v of power, should get the motor to do something.

Why do you have a powerless max with no keys for it?

Obviously he lost his keys and disconnected the battery for long term storage

I just dont understand why you'd want to roll down the window... If you can access the window motor surely you can access the engine bay?

It seems like he wants to remove the window from the door. To take off the door panel, the window must be in the down position anyway. Once the door panel is off, you can access the window mounting screws by slightly raising the window up thru the frame openings of the door and removing the bolts. There are only 2, and the window slides right out.

I just love the speculation. It is a wrecked Max that I picked up for spare parts. I know how to remove the panels, heck I know how to remove just about everything from the car, but when it comes to electrics I'm a little shy. The windows are half down position and I need to get at the screws, but can't. Hence the whole reason for the title. Can anyone point me in the wrong direction.

Haha I believe you, i was just messing around. Lets see... You could try to unbolt the entire motor assembly from the door, track, motor, and everything.... If you don't need the track assembly, cut the cable.... Or like someone above said, Get a battery, and just connect + and - to the terminals on the actual motor to try and get it moving.
