After comparing your pick, with my pick I see that you MAF is turned sideways, try turning it so that it matches the way mine is and see what happens. Maybe, just maybe thats what is causing the issue. I know with some MAFs turning them does effect how they perform.

BTW, that is one nasty engine bay.

I bet before it was replaced someone just took out the maf and painted it silver to look better? that would explain why they said a silver maf.

some older MAFs on altimas were silver. maybe he had an old MAF on it before and didn't realize it.

if the MAF was bolted on the wrong way, it might cause problems..but then again, i don't even know if it is even able to be bolted on backwards.

You know the funny part is if he DID get a MAF with the Injen, and it was painted, then he still HAS the original MAF with the stock setup . No need to spend a gabillion space bux on something you already have.

And it looks real, I mean the couplers say INJEN on them?!?!

No way would a 4th gen work with any of the KA/SR/GA metal MAF's. They are like 30mm. That and the plugs are different.

Its not that its bolted on wrong, but the adapter is turned with the MAF. Since each side is connected with a coupler, it was probably rotated so the plug could reach. (btw im not attacking you Im just putting in my $0.02).
