h.t. take out tension bars in trunk?

anyone know how to take the tension bars out in the trunk? i need to get em out tonight. please and thanks.

i searched, but not good enough i guess. every month i say to myself " its time to donate" but i never get around to it, i guess this month is the month tho...... anyone else while i search?

Are you talking about the tensiners that hold up the trunk lid? ... if yeah, I use pliers, just gotta be carefull.

What exactly will taking those out do? Cause the trunk to close on its own?
