Supercharger on the way :)
Just wanted everyone to know that i'm sweating beads waiting on it!!
One question though, who sells the 3.25" pulley for it and does that void the warranty? Also what advantages does it have over the one that comes with the sc?

The smaller pully will increase the psi of the blower. The greater the psi the more horsepower output.
Yes if you change to a smaller pully it will void the warrenty of the blower.
You might want to look into getting a aluminum pulley. The plastic pully that comes with the supercharger seems to be the kits weakest link.
Cheston is looking into aluminum pulley now. Ask him about it.

Vortech sells lots of different sized pulleys. I think there website address is www.vortech.com . The pulleys run about $100. I swithched to a conservitive 3.48 pulley and noticed a moddest increase in HP, probably about a 15 HP gain. I should mention the fact that if you are going to switch the pulley you should do so before you install the SC other wise you have to take the damn blower off... and thats not much fun.

emax, I plan to get a supercharger too. So, do you recommend I just go ahead and get the 3.25 pulley, for example, when I purchase the supercharger? In another word, just go ahead and install that smaller pulley with the supercharger when I get it, so I don't have to worry about the hassle next time. I also heard that it's a good idea to get an aluminum idle pulley too. Although, it might be hard to find an aluminum idle pulley.

I hope you guys have at least a VB or upgraded clutch before thinking about 3.25. Otherwise, be prepared to fork up some dough for a new tranny or clutch.

Getting my VB from Don soon. So, you think I should upgrade the torque converter as well? And I already have the tranny cooler.

Yeah, if you plan on putting a smaller pulley on you should definatly do it before the SC is installed. I made the mistake of changing the pulley after I put the SC on and it was a hassle that I could have easaly avoided. Now about the idler pulley, I never ran into any problems with mine but then again my Pulley was not to.. to small, it seems once you get into the 3.3 sizes or smaller you run into a problem. You will have to have the idler pulley custom made though because no one makes it.

Yes, buy the tranny cooler. The VB is a modification to your transmission that increases solenoid pressures, allowing for firmer sportier shifts and generally increases tranny life(that's the really short version of it). Don in Texas offers it @ his website, www.mobiletek.net . On the site, click on valve body upgrade for more information.

if ur going to jump the gun and go striaght to 3.25. watch out.
you'll need more than a VB or clutch to save ur car.
you'll need some type of internal mods. ie 300ZX fuel injectors, larger fuel pump.
just can't slap on a smaller pulley and run 12psi like its nothing.
talk to phil96se (master of internals)..
as far as the idler pulley, yes. phil knows a company that is makin' them. should be available first week of july.
i'd just swap out to the aluminum cuz i dont want any problems with the plastic idler pulley. .
still no SC yet! its in the mail still Ethan!
Doh!
..
i'd HIGHLY recommend the VB for autos, the tranny oil cooler, and even a torque converter to plant that power.
i'm prolly gonna camp out and get the LSD from cattman later this year. oh boy!
that'll be fun.
then. its all over for the max.

What are you guys paying for the Stillen S/Cs? Mine will have to wait until next spring or summer because I'm getting rid of my wife's Altima for a Subaru Legacy Outback or GT wagon. After seeing F&F I've decided I'd rather take my Max to the "next level" before getting my next ride which will be turbo and AWD. PLUS I WANT THAT PSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTT SOUND!!!!!!!!

Are the 300ZX injectors actually worth it? I'm going to be running stock psi, until I have all my upgraded internals done...but I was just wondering if they would help now. Also, are the direct plug in, no other mods?
