Starting issue

Well for about the past year or so i have been having starting issues. Its mainly before the car is warmed up. The car will crank, start, stumble, then stall. it almost sound like the gears in the starter are grinding. but as soon as the car is warmed up or has only been sitting for 2 or so hours of no driving it starts up no problem. I replaced the starter and it was fine for about a month and then it started doing it every once in a while, and now its almost every morning. anyone have any ideas? plugs were just changed, all schedueled maintence has been done on the car im extremely **** about my ride and i just dont want to get stuck one day. possibly just need to reground the starter?

A simple and cheap thing to try is to run a ground from the starter mounting bolt to the negitive cable and see what happens. This has helped a ton of people..

I have the same problem a while back. Cleaning the TB and replacing the ECT sensor solved it. My 96 Max also stumbled to stall occasionally while I almost slow to stop in front of stop sign or traffic light. After I replaced the ECTS ($12), the problem went away. I guess a bad sensor sends ECU a wrong signal that indicates something is wrong (coolant temperature too high?); the stalling/stumbling may be the ECU at work in response to the ECTS signal.
