Strange Rubbing Noise From Front Left Wheel
I had my front brake pads changed by a mechanic 1 month ago, and suddenly since 1 week ago I hear a noise coming from the front left wheel. It sounds like if you rub the palms of your hands against each other. I can hear it at any speed between 1 mph and 40mph, and I think the noise became louder in the last few days. It makes sound in intervals - for example at 5mph I hear 2 noises per second and more noises as speed increases.
Yesturday I seen 5th gen Maxima passed near me with the same noise coming from the wheel.
This noise really bothering me
Any ideas would be appreciated

If you get near that wheel after hearing the noise, is there a lot of heat and/or a burning smell from the brakes? The caliper could be sticking.
I've also had a bent backing plate and warped rotors cause rubbing noises.

I hear a new rubbing noise from one of my front wheels every 6 months or so. Its unreal. I've had one building for the past week or two. I thought it was the wheel bearing and I started taking the hub off. I got the freaking cotter pins off of the appropriate spots (not easy to do) and then started to take off the big hub nut on the axle in the center of the wheel. The thing was very loose. I tightened it and away went the looseness/play in the hub. I put everything back together and tested it. That seems to have done it. I should have tried it first since it was simpler than trying the bearings. I've had lug nuts loosen on me too. That causes a weird noise. Good luck finding it.

Check your lugnuts. After painting my calipers I didn't get them tight enough and it would make a rubbing sound that was in tandem with the speed. (obviously) It just got worse over time and I finally got smart and tightened them.

There is no burning smell or heat from the brakes , and I dont think I hear the noise when I apply the brakes.
I guess I will remove the wheel and see what's loose
Thanks guys , I appreciate your help
