To those with side airbags. Quick Question about disconnection.

I plan on continuing my second skin damplifier install and will be doing the entire floor pan. This will require me to take out the seats and disconnect all harnesses and take the seats out in order to get underneath. If I take the seats out and dont turn the car back on again until I reconnect them, I am gonna run into AIR bag light issues? And will those issues be able to be solved simply by using the door jamb button reset? I really dont want to have to take the car to the dealer after I am finished to have them reset it. Anybody ever disconnect the harness for one reason or another and then reconnect? What were your findings? Just wondering as my damplifier PRO is on its way!!!! OKay time to get some thanks

Don't turn the key on and you'll be just fine. Better yet, disconnect the battery before you do the work. That will definately prevent the system from seeing anything you do.

Disconnect the battery and let it sit for 15 to 20 mins to discharge the circuit before you disconnect the airbag. After that you are good to go (leave the battery disconnected). Once you're done, reconnect the air bag and then the battery. You should have no problems this way.

can anyone show me a pic of the seat when it has side airbags? I dont think mine does but the manual is pretty confusing. Plus im a little slow, bad combination overall.

If you have side air bags you will know right away. In the 4th gens with airbags, there is no little tag like in the newer ones. They have these panels with SRS AIRBAG or something like that stamped on them.
