Most people that are dropped 2" or lower jsut dont realize they are on bumpstops alot....they may think they are ok but in all reality they just dont know....i have had sprints and s-techs with AGXs...HORRIBLE....I had progress with Koni Yellows....WAY BETTER......now i have Custom Ground COntrols with Koni Yellows....Stiff cause thats how I want it...but paired with the best struts evar being Koni yellows and mild drop of no more than 1.5" I couldnt ask for a better handeling system....and the ride is not bad at all being uber stiff springs...i just cant wait to shorten my Konis and be even more gooder than everything

Where did you ever get the idea that Eibachs went that low?

Sorry, but this drop is not lower then my Sprints, and definately not lower then coilovers.

well the springs don't sit right because i was told they would fit on my stock struts and well they dont sit right, there coilovers. The back tires are tucked but the front are not. you guys are prolly right, though its prolly less then 4 but thats what i was told by the installer.

Edit: judging by the picture of black maxima's car, i would say my front is dropped 2.5 and back is dropped 3 inches

So you must be on Ground Controls if your claiming there Eibachs. Your running those with OEM struts? FTL!!
Sorry dude, but from the pic your fronts or rears dont seem to be tucking, now this is tucking.....

Quick ques. I am dropped on D2 coilovers about a 2.2" drop I am on 17" wheels with 235/45/17 tires with a 35 mm offset. On hard turns I rub the inner of the fender and when I hit dips I hit the fender also. My question is I am wanting to go to a 1.5" drop just for better handling performance but will this prevent my tires from rubbing the fenders as much? I really hate my tires rubbing the fenders and I know it taking away some of my performance everytime they touch.

it should help with the fender hitting....are ur tires actuall hittng the outside lip of the fender or somewhere inside the actual fender lip.....35mm offset is usally ok in terms of no rubbing the lip of the fendet

Basically rubbing right under the inside of the fender. Right where the fender curves up into the well. I have already worn the paint off under there.

Should have gone with 235/40/17's if you wanted to go real low.

235/45/17 are the correct tire size...raise it up a little bit and it should help...it will allow the front suspension the angle in more while compressing and clearing the fender

Your correct, thats the correct size in order to keep the speedo as accurate as possilble, but its still going to be a tad off.
Once you begin lowering the vehicle is whats going to cause the issue. Changing the sidewall height would help eliminate the rubbing issue, but would throw off the speed of that much more. You could simply just roll the fender a bit.
Either way, rubbing the fenders continously isnt going to be good for the tires in the long run.

Enkei *****.....but also the lower the sidewall the more gap it will cause....hence making the necessity to go lower to eliminate the wheel gap....its a viscious circle......

H-Techs don't give that drop. S-Techs do.

OK, I just wanted to ask a quick qestion. A friend gave me some lowering springs and I have never heard of them before. Does anybody know anything about Alfa Otto Racing Gold Line lowering springs? They will drop the car 1.5". Can I get away with Tokico blues or should I just got with illuminas?

www.alfaotto.com

The company is Otto Racing... as in, the budget parts people who make the popular cheap-but-good front strut tower bars for our cars. Those springs are Goldline springs, just offered through Otto Racing. Goldline is a decent manufacturer, so they'd be good springs.

The only Goldline springs I found on that site are for 2000 I30s, which will only work for 2000-2001 Maximas and I30s. Are you sure that the springs you have are for a 4th gen Maxima?

Yea, sorry guys. I wasn't paying attention when I posted and didn't realize I was in the 4th gen forum. I have a 2000 Maxima. Thanks for the help though.
