Just need an opinion on where to go first

I've been doing some reasearch and searching around the forums and came up with 3 major upgrades I want to do to my max: Exhaust, Suspension, and my Tire/Rims. I just want an opinion to which way I should go first, Because they all came out with roughly the same numbers.

Exhaust

Warpspeed Complete 2 1/2" System - $630 Shipped
(Y-pipe, High Flow Cat, B-pipe, Muffler, Tip, Gaskets/Hangers/Bolts)
Injen Cold Air Intake - $260 Revised: Place Racing CAI - $190
or FrankenCAR Hybrid with K&N Filter- $170 shipped

Total: $820

Suspension

Tokico Illumina Adjustable Struts (Full Kit) - $405
Tein S-TECH Lowering Springs - $105
Stillen Front Strut Bar - $141 | Revised: Boomz FSTB - $25
Stillen Rear Sway Bar - $228 | Revised: Progress Rear Anti-Sway Bar - $140

Total: $675

Tires/Rims

Enkei RZ5's | 16x7 | 215/40 $915 Michelin Pilot Exalto All Season 225/45HR17 - $652
Enkei RS6's | 16x7 | 215/40 | $756
Enkei EVO5's | 17x7 | $560

Total: $1,212

All about roughly the same price, If I'm an idiot for going with these companies as a final choice, just yell at me =) I can really only afford one of these at a time, I was thinking Suspension -> Tire/Rims -> Exhaust.

Thanks for your thoughts

I'm guessing that all your original equipment is in proper working order?

I'd say exhaust, because I like to hear the engine.

hey man I tell ya the best thing you can do first, and this is cause I'm in a good mood is suspension.. anything to decrease that body roll, get rid of that ugly whell gap and stiffen steering up is well worth it. In the stickies theres a rant by Nealoc "for noobz" or something like that and it basically explains his outlook on modding cars and hell if you're lucky enough he may share some of his insight with you.

Suspension - Exhaust - Wheels/Tires in that order.

I agree those prices seem a bit on the high side.

BTW E-Bay FSTB>Stillen & Progress Rear Sway Bar>Stillen

E-bay FSTB's that go for $25 tops are better than a Stillen FSTB? I've always gone the YGWYP4 route, thats why most all of the prices up top seem expensive, but I'd rather pay more for quality then end up replacing something half-assed down the road, ya know?

But if you guys agree the quality is nearly as good It would be a nice save of $100+

I think D-Bo is on the money. Go with the ebay fstb it's worth it because it does the same thing as Stillen. Sometimes the higher price and brand name doesnt mean it's better. My question is why would you spend close to $1000 for 16" rims?! Thats crazy. You should rethink the rims you're looking at. Also, I believe that Place Racing is no longer made. If you are going to do the entire exhaust over then just get a midpipe off ebay and add a k&n. And yes those prices are high. Keep looking into things.

If your tires are crap it doesn't matter how good your suspension is or how much power you make, you're just spinin' and slippin'.

I'm looking at 16's because out here in NJ we have some pretty bumpy roads and a fair amount of potholes...everywhere, so to save myself from going through and cracking rims and buying new ones all the time I was just going with a smaller size, besides its still an upgrade from my stock 15's

Just becauses you're gonna get 16" that doesnt mean they wont crack....spending more money on ssmaller rims is crazy. It's your money tho...waste away.

Your right, it doesn't mean they won't crack, but it does mean that they won't crack as easily

My 2 cents: These feel alot better than on Eibach's and I only hit the bumpstops on potholes. Never ridden on bumpstops 24/7. I have the Koni Yellow shocks. Besides, ride comfort is so subjective, just like how others interpret quiet mufflers.

haha I was exaggerating, but it just means if you have even slightly rougher roads that usual that you should probably go progress or equivalent instead thats all. But you're right ride comfort is subjective. I personally cut my Eibachs slightly to where they ride .2 inches lower in the front and rear to about where progress would sit and they're still stiffer that progress so I'm really happy with it.

CMS =/= tein s-tech

CMS==springtech

i think the cms/springtechs are supposed to be slightly stiffer than the tein s-techs, which will keep you off the bumpstops.
