Hey Jeff, What's up? JimW had a wheel bearing

replaced on Stealth Max somtime back. One of the oddest noises you'll ever hear coming from a car. What do you want ot know?

Costs about $350-400 parts and labor. I don't recommend changing them yourself, it can be a hassle if you've never done it.
Gotta pull the the wheel, loosen the spindle from the strut, back the axle out of the spindle, then drop the bearings out. Not for the faint of heart.

it needs to be replaced but..

my friend is volunteering to do it pretty cheap. Maybe 100 to 150 on the weekend. It sounds like a piece of grit or stone is stuck in the rotor and when we jacked it up with the wheels moving it groaned when we had the wheel turned all the way.
