I'm at a crossroads in my life... I've put over four grand into my 96 Auto Maxima and I've currently got planned another 10K. But should I really do it? Or should I just give up on her (being that's she's an Auto Sedan) and save up that 10K and whatever more money I can gather to buy a turboed car with stick that will already be faster than this stock? I'd keep it off the road for a year and build it up and then just race it on weekends... Maybe spend $20,000 total on the car + aftermarket parts. Should I really give up on my Max?

It's totally up to you dude. I am faced with the same dilemma, and have decided to continute with the Maxima, only because I love the car, it has treated me very well and its a car that not everybody has. However, you may feel different, so...

After many hours of sitting alone in my car...

I work nights sitting in my car as security and after many hours thinking last night I'm sticking with the Max. Hey, somebody needs to give Don in Texas a run for his Automatic money... Besides, drop 10K into the Max and have an incredible machine that I can still take on road trips with friends or drop 20K into a sport car that will only fit two people and a chicklet and I wouldn't be able to afford insurance on (especially with both on the road). I'm only a sophmore in college (yes, I'm a sophmore at 20, don't laugh I took a year off) and need to start planning for the future and dumping all my money into a toy isn't going to work. So I'll just dump a bunch of money into the Max while still saving up for tomorrow. And I'll still kick a truck load of *** while I'm at it...

A prelude or an integra? ya they are ok cars but the quality is lacking compared to the max, the only reason would ever consider one of those cars is if i wanted to make some sort of fancy exterior because they have tons of aftermarket support which i am sure most of yall will agree is not fair to us at all, but if you get something new get something with a turbo

not here in Brooklyn, NY though. There are so many, especially in the Russian enclaves, that sometimes my wife has a problem differentiating between our car and somebody else's one.

Yup (and before anyone says, Don't you live in CT?) I lived in NY immediately before this and consider myself a NYer).
