Coilover Springs ,True or False?
Coilover Springs ,True or False?
I recently purchased some coilover springs from ebay and it seemed like a good deal. I am not new to the do-it-yourself thing but when I finally received the springs, the whole setup confused me. So my question is are those things for real because the way I see it there is no way I can install those things on my suspension. If anybody has been through the same or similar case some info would really be appreciated.
Thanks

How much did you pay for them? $40-$50? Well there mistake #1 buying cheap coils on ebay. But to install them you have to remove your original springs and put those on instead also buy new struts.

Anything like these? If so, check into the refund policy - your best bet is to ride stock and save for a real set.
I had 1st batch of D2's on the Maxima, they sucked; and made all kinds of noises. I hear the JIC's are great.

Sorry to say but, that 50 dollar coil over kit my cost you in the long run.. Let me guess they have hexagon screws and there susposed to land on the perch right.. We tried installing them in a mitsu and the thing just started popin off then couple days later oil starts coming out of the shocks .. save up and Get a full coilover kit or adjustable Koni's with Eibach springs you prob see 600 dollars give or take and you'll prob save yourself trouble in the future
The ride is going to be horrible handling & quality wise. If you want a nice setup just get K sport or JIC's, or just go with a spring/strut combo like S-techs and illuminas. I see that ur riding on 20" so i would go with H&R springs that will keep the ride from being harsh and stiff.
