Reason I ask is I just changed the oil yesterday & am only now learning about this Sea Foam thing. I don't really want to wait until my next oil change to give it a shot, but I also don't want to change the oil again so soon if by adding the Sea Foam tonight I absolutely NEED to do an oil change immediately.

Thoughts from the pros out there?

I'm confused...isn't Sea Foam a FUEL additive? If so, then why would an oil change matter?

It can be used in oil as well. Short answer: YES.

You would only need to change your oil if you put SeaFoam into your crankcase. Why would you need to change your oil when it's being sucked in via vaccume line or gas tank?

based on his original post it seems his intention is to use it via the crankcase. In which case you are always supposed to change the oil shortly after.

If your putting it in your gas tank, no, but its a waste of seafoam anyway (try techron, gunmount regane, or Fuel Power)

If your putting it in your crankcase, yes about 15 min after you do it, but dont do this, use auto rx or lubecontrol in the crankcase, seafoam is no good.

If your sucking it down the intake, it is the best product for that, and yes you should change your oil after it, it sneaks past the piston rings and dirties up your oil, just wait until before your next change and then do it.

If I'm putting it into the vacuum line (which is what I'm planning to do), is that what you guys mean by crank case? So if I put it in the vacuum line, then yes, I need to get an oil change shortly after I do it? Just trying to clarify. Some of you seem to be using crank case & the vacuum line interchangeably, so I'm kinda confused.

No, crankcase is where your oil is

Intake is different, but IMO still necisitates a oil change

You would put it where the oil cap is. Let it run through for a litle while, then drain. If you've never used it before, get ready for a load of **** to come out.

No he wants to do it through the intake, not the oil

and for the oil i highly reccomend against seafoam on a car u care about, look into auto-rx, a few $ more, but much better, and much safer
