Trunk lid sticks ... have to pull up hard to open it

When I unlock the trunk (remotely from door or fob), it does unlock, but doesn't pop open. I thought maybe the rubber weather stripping might be making it stick, but I cleaned it up and it didn't help. I can still open the trunk, but I have to pull up pretty hard to get it to open. Is this the lock mechanism sticking or the torsion bars losing their "umph"? My suspicion is the lock needs to be lubricated maybe, but I'm not sure if I need to remove it or if I can just spray some WD40 into it. Any thoughts?

adjust the latch piece thats on the inside of the trunk. 2 10 mm bolts that you loosen enough to move the latch around. mine was doing the same thing and i loosened them and moved the latch up and to the left as much as i could then retightened it in that position.
try messing with it...yo ucan figure it out.
