oxygen sensor installation. you have to be fuking kidding

let me first say that getting an oxygen sensor off is straight ridiculous.

took me four hours to get the old one off. i have a wsp y pipe.
yeah i used PB blaster and all that bull****, not a ****ing thing.

i can bench 350 and it took me every ounce of strength and frustration in my body to get that thing to move, after 4 ****ing hours.

so i get it off. cream my pants. guess what.

CANT PUT THE ****ING NEW ONE IN. screw and screw and screw and it wont thread. the old one wont even thread back in. what the **** do i do.

who put the y pipe on. whoever it was overtighten the o2 sensor that or the cross threaded it. thats why u couldn't get it off. it should never be that hard.
i'm a very skinny and weak person. i can probaly bench 100lbs top. I have a little bit of trouble with o2's but with a 3 foot breaker bar i'm god.

that some exact thing happened to me two days ago!!! haha i got a pretty nice fix for ya... go to your local pep boys... grap a spark plug tapper (7 bucks)... i believe thats what they call it... its for if you strip out or cross thread the spark plug... guess what... its the same exact threading thats on the o2 sensor.... so re-tap the whole... then file down the buggered o2 sensor threads and make a new starting thread on the o2 sensor... still took me a while to get it in correctly but it worked perfect and no leaks!

i can bench 200 and im only 115lbs and i got mine off. i woudlnt say easily, but with **** loads of penetrating fluid elbow grease and some swearing it came off. I used a 24" breaker bar to get it off, and i was on a hoist.

Ahh bro I'm sorry,I should specified I have a motorcycle shop but I figured I could tap the thread for ya but as for other probs, sorry. But if you have a bike I could be more of a help... I actually dont have a "good" mechanic around here,as I try to do most of the stuff myself with alot of help from this forum. There is one guy who has done some small work and is very reasonable and reliable. He is on Hunting Park between Germantown Ave and Broad Street...hes very reputable around here and prices are decent but like I said...never went to him for diagnostics or anything. Oh yea,I'm on Braod street between Hunting Park and Erie Ave. The little streets are Pike and Luzerne

I called a shop near me and they are going to charge 50 bucks to relocate the sensor. But I am in a different situation then you are. My sensor is hangning like 4 inches off the ground on the b-pipe.
