replacing y pipe

replacing y pipe

i may be getting a y pipe and putting it on. I am afraid of breaking my studs on my headers. DId anyone encounter this problem or anyone have suggestions or cautions i should look out for?

soak them with Thrust Penetrating Lube....10x better than PB or any other ****

On my hub yes..


Just spray the hell out of (AKA soak) them with any type of pentrating oil...But you already reat that up there so but

ok one more question. Are the y pipes for 95-98 max all the same regardless of fed spec or cali spec? The seller claims its cali spec but the picture of the pipe looks like fed-spec.

i think they are different.

I did about four Ypipe installs and haven't broken any manifold bolts or studs, they are fairly strong studs. I did partially strip a couple though and they still bolted up okay.
