Sunroof Drains?

Has anyone else ever had a problem with their 95 maxima's sunroof, I bought the car used so I'm not quite sure if there were any seals broken but I have a bad leak that comes out of my overhead light, where the sunroof controls are.

Has anyone had this problem before? If so any ideas? I would also like to be sure my drains are clear but I havn't been able to locate them.

I've had that problem .. what u have to do is tilt the sunroof up enough so the seals on the sunroof close ... u should do this before the sunroof controls stop working on u ... mine stopped working so I had to prop up the sunroof with a pen until I could get new sunroof control/maplight ... I know it sounds stupid but it's easier than replacing the whole sunroof assembly .... good luck

So is there a way to adjust the resting height of the sunroof? I'm not sure what you meant by tilting the sunroof? What exactly do you adjust?

if the glass is not level with the roof you can get shims from the auto parts stores. I have seen them in the HELP section at VIP/Autozone. There are 4 drains (one at each corner), they run down the pillars and exit behind the rear wheels and somewhere near the fire wall. they could be plugged up, its not uncommon.

I had a problem when I bought my 96 and it turned out to be the drain hose had come on the driver corner. I ended up taking the overhead off and putting irt back on and leak went away.

What is the best way to unclog the drains? And are they able to be unclogged without taking off the overhead. I've read that you can use an air compressor or weed-eater string. Any recommendations?
