I bought my 99 Maxima used and it did not come with the Keyless Entry Remote. Where is a good aftermarket place to purchace one for the 4th Generation?? Any advice or thoughts?

I just got a Viper 350HV installed on Saturday. It's a great alarm, can get installed for about 120-150 depending on your location (that includes everything and the cost of the alarm) and it comes with remote keyless entry.

Yeah!! I know..that is why i am a little weary about going to e-bay. I saw 3 for sale on their, and they were from all different sellers, but the pictures looked the exact same...not sure if i want to get it from there...

Not interested in an alarm, just want a replacement for the one I should have gotten.

A lot of people tell me they get good working ones off eBay for very cheap. If you don't want to risk it also try the 4th Gen classifieds, sometimes I see them for sale.

Don't go with eBay - it's a risk and not worth it. Spend the extra money and get a decent alarm that you know will be installed professionally an warrantied.

Windows rollers?

Could that be integrated into a DEI based logic unit?

Factory Remote: Simply hold the unlock button and magically and i use the term loosely the windows (front only) will roll down. (Nope, it doesn't roll them up, but that would be steller).

I bought 3 remotes off of ebay with no problems... didnt even have to change batteries. Got the used OEM ones that came with the car. Just look for one that has fcc id# a269zua078. some Q45 and J30 rmotes may look the same but you need this exact number. to roll down front windows, hold down unlock button

My car is a GXE - I don't believe it came with remote keyless entry from the factory... I had a Viper installed on saturday, but I doubt holding the unlock key in this case would do anything.

Did all the cars come with a receiver for keyless entry?
