transmition slipping
i changed out the solenoids on my transmition and now the tranny is slipping. i checked the fluid its fine. the only thing im not sure about is when i put the new solenoids in there was a very tiny spring that i didnt put back in the tranny becuase i didnt think it went to it. i put the bigger spring that goes in the whole above the valve body in. is that spring supost to go somwhere. is it possible its a spring from somwhere else in the tranny that you cant see from the bottem? i need help it slips pretty badly. its really bad when im going up hill.

The one solenoid by itself, I believe for the servo, has a small spring behind it. It is what regulates pressure (I think, but I do know that's where that small spring goes). Put that back in there (just drop it into the VB behind that lone solenoid).

Christ :
If it came out, it probably was suposed to go back in.. Take it apart and reinstall correctly, i.e just the way it came out.

ok i was driving on the highway and it started to slip again. if i put it into 2nd it will stop slipping but in drive even if i wiggle it around it wont catch. i thought mabye it was just the linkage but i dont think so. why would it slip? and why would 2nd gear work?

could the solenoids have anything to do with it. also i took of the plate on the outside of the tranny where it changes the gears or what ever. right by where the harness comes out. it has 3 screws i put it back on but i noticed you can adjust it woudl that have anything to do with it?
