whats the difference between a 198 bulb and 164?

whats the difference between a 198 bulb and 164?
I needed to replace rear marker light on my max and autozone didnt have a clear 198 bulb so they sold me a 164. it looks the same and does work but is it ok i used it?

You should be fine, I think the differences are the wattages.
