hard starting in the morning... has anyone had this problem and solved it?

My 95 Maxima takes a loooong time to fire up in the morning and after sitting many hours. I checked the fuel pump, spark plugs, fuel filter, I also cleaned throttle body. There are no MIL codes... Has anyone had this problem with their 4th gen. Maxima and fixed it? It runs perfectly fine after it gets going, just takes many turns on the key for it to start.

Try changing the engine coolant temp sensor.

Had Same problem i think

i had that problem when i bought the car 2 years back...I changed one thing and it fixed it surprisingly. It sounds odd, but i changed the ignition switch (it was obviously worn, because i had to jiggle the key sometimes to get it to turn the starter) and i ended up with 2 birds with one stone deal...switched it out, car starts right up and no more jiggling...good luck.

Do you have an error code?( is your CEL- check engine light on)

or simply hard time starting?

If it cranks it's not the ignition switch.

This happened a few years ago to me. It turned out that one of the fuel injectors got clogged or something, and once it was replaced, the problem was fixed.
