Is it worth it?
Ok, so I came home from working a 15.8 hour day the other day, to find a new Kimberly-Clark car cover on my bed. My dad bought it for me, because there's only room for their two cars in the garage, so my Max has to sit outside.
Granted, this was an AWESOME gesture, and not expected at all.
However... not to sound ungrateful, but it almost seems that the car cover is more trouble than it's worth. I've tried like hell to figure out a way to this, but regardless, it takes me over 20 minutes to get it on, because it's such a snug fit.
My personal opinion is that I'd rather wash the car more frequently, than have to mess with that thing every night. Especially considering the poopoo weather is about to start... I'd rather not spend every night in negative temperatures trying to get a car cover to fit on a wet car, or one that's snow covered... etc.
Am I crazy in my logic?

i think a car cover is most practical when your storing the car for more than a day or 2. otherwise...its a damn car, its meant to be outside.

The car cover is a *****, and just think how much of a pain it will be to get that thing off once a foot or two of snow has fallen on it. Or if you're rushing off in the morning to get to your job/school and you're like ****, gotta take some time to get the spandex off the car. Just brave the elements. Or, get that car port as stated, that's a good fix.

I completely agree.,.. if I was storing the car, then yes, it'd have a cover on it in a heartbeat. If it was a mint, 1968 Corvette Stingray... I'd have a cover on it. But it's a 99 Maxima. Not that there's ANYTHING wrong with my car... I love it more than probably any other car I've owned... but it is still daily driver/autoX beater. I've had it for 6 weeks now, and I've put 2000 miles on it... My work is 6 blocks from my house... I just go for drives everywhere.
I think I might have to break it to Pop that he wasted the money.... because it's not going to get any use.

Personally, I would probably use it sometimes and not others. If my car was relatively clean, and the weather was forecasted to get bad, I'd use it. If making a bunch of trips in a day, I wouldn't.
As for time it takes to install/remove, you'll get better. I know several people who religiously cover their cars everyday at work. After awhile, it only takes 1-2 minutes to do it. Their cars always look freshly detailed. It takes me a whole lot longer to quick detail my car, let alone a wash when it's too dirty for QD (even with QEW).
