Correct Position for Replacing LEDs

I'm replacing the STOCK LEDS in my auto climate panel and when i put them in none of them work. i know i'm using the right bulb but heard that if they're not positioned right they wont work. Is there a way to know the correct position?

when you put them back in, did you screw in the base onto the pc board?
or maybe they are burnt again since those digital climate control lights burn easily..
