My descriptive powers pretty much suck so here goes nothing.

I have a 95 GXE with approx. 81k miles on it. I haven't had it long so I have no clue what maintenance has been done to the car. It's completely stock as far as I know.

The problem is this - when the engine is cold, it's hard to crank. Sometimes the engine just turns and turns and won't start or it will start up and then immediately die. Sometimes it starts right up and runs fine and then sometimes it starts up but then the Rpm's go up and down - kinda like I'm revving the engine. After the engine gets up and running - it often hesitates until it warms up. Once it's warm - everything is fine. Oh - the air filter is clean.

Anyone have this same prob or any ideas?

Thanks!!!

I'm not sure if this is a problem per se. I've got isues with my car starting from time to time as well... not sure what it is. But it's pretty much the same problems you say. I've had the car since new and haev done all work myself... nothing is broken, but it just does it from time to time.

Check your coolant temp sensor first. Usually when it goes bad, it will trick the computer into thinking your car is warm when it is actually cold. The engine needs more fuel when it is cold. If your problem exist when the engine is already warmed up, then forget about the cts.

I am not sure, but it might be the starter. You also might need a tune up. I would prob take it to a Nissan Dealer if I were you.
Good luck.
