im seriously thinking again about gettin a cf hood, and i wanted to know how well do they handle cold weather. i live in indy and it doesnt snow all the time but it does snow. how well do they handle cold and road salt?

I just put one on mine in June. I live near Philly so we are about the same lattitude. I have not been through a winter yet. CF should not be affected by cold or salt. The surface is actually epoxy resin.

One thing I will inform you of. Plan to use hood pins or hood locks. The hood starts to flex along the edges as you go fast and the faster you go the higher the hood rises. I used hood locks and it solved the problem.

i kno what hood pins are but what are hood locks?

I got the hood locks at Autozone. They have a nearly flush mounted chrome key lock mounted on top of the hood. It rotates to engage a slot in the top of the actual pins mounted under the hood. They are a very clean mount.
