I was on the freeway yesterday accelerating from a construction zone on I-75 south of Detroit. I have an auto. so I turned off the O/D as a result of the slow speeds in the construction zone. Just when I accelerated to freeway speed (70), my RPMs w/o OD around 60-70 were at 3000, but when I pushed the button on the shift lever to re-engage O/D, the RPMs wentto 4000 then shifted back to O/D at 2500rpm. Other than this, my tranny has been fine. Any cause for concern or was the tranny acting weird?

no, that's normal, every car with O/D does that on the freeway accelerating. That's why you should keep it on, you get better passing power
